Expanding By Grace

Below you will find updates from past building committee meetings.

June 17, 2026 Update

The Building Committee met recently to discuss the next steps in the church expansion process. We are excited to share that progress continues to be made as we move forward in faith and trust in God’s guidance.

Our current efforts include:

  • Reaching out to CEF to discuss the lending amount that Amazing Grace may qualify to obtain for the project.
  • Preparing to launch a Capital Campaign this fall to raise funds for the down payment and support the building project.
  • Fine-tuning the building layout, design, and plans to ensure the project best serves the current and future needs of our congregation and ministries.
  • Developing a video presentation to share with the congregation around mid-August that will provide an overview of the proposed building plans and vision for the future.

We ask that you continue to keep this project in your prayers. We believe God is leading us forward as we seek to expand our facilities and create opportunities to grow and strengthen the ministries of Amazing Grace for generations to come.

Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and prayers as we move forward together in faith.

April 15, 2026 Update

The Building Expansion Committee met on Tuesday, April 14, to review the results of the recent congregational survey. We are pleased to report a strong and encouraging response from our giving members. The survey results indicate that the congregation is overwhelmingly in favor of a much-needed expansion of our facilities, with many members expressing a willingness to contribute financially in addition to their current giving.

During the meeting, the committee also discussed the church’s steady growth over the past several years. As we look to the future, we considered what steps are necessary to continue expanding our ministries and effectively serve our growing congregation. A central focus of the discussion was ensuring that any expansion supports ministry development while maintaining clear and open communication with our church family.

To foster this communication, the committee has scheduled a series of small group “Cottage Meetings” for congregation members:

  • May 20 at 6:00 PM
  • May 23 at 9:00 AM
  • May 26 at 6:00 PM

These gatherings will provide an opportunity to share detailed information about:

  • The church’s current financial standing
  • Funds already available for the expansion
  • Additional funds needed to complete the project
  • Potential loan options and anticipated payment structures
  • The overall purpose of the expansion and how it will enhance and grow our ministries

Each meeting will include light hors d’oeuvres, followed by a brief devotion and an open discussion. Attendees will also have time to ask questions and share feedback.

Following these Cottage Meetings, the committee will begin developing a proposed timeline for the expansion and will present more detailed information to the
