Summer Worship Series

The Sundays after Pentecost comprise the longest season of the Church Year.  After spending a half-year looking at Christ’s life for us, we now spend a half-year looking at Christ’s life in us. By the power of the Spirit working through the Word and Sacraments, Christ produces spiritual growth within us. That growth is symbolized by the green colors that drape the church for much of this season. Over the course of the summer we will take a closer look at our lives as Christians Living in God’s World. 

While life in God’s world is beautiful, it is not without its difficulties and challenges.  Yet, we take comfort and find strength in the fact that the God who did all the work for us in procuring our salvation, continues to be hard at work in our lives every single day. Our worship will follow this pattern:

May 31st – God Gives 

June 7th – God Plans

June 14th – God Controls

June 21st – God Speaks

June 28th – God Calls

July 5th – God Sends

July 12th – God Hears

July 19th – God Preserves

July 26th – God Reigns

August 2nd – God Refreshes

August 9th – God Grows

August 16th – God Harvests

August 23rd – God Enriches

August 30th – God Provides

September 6th – God Assures
